ECU ERROR CODE DECODER

If you're here, I'm assuming you already got the ECU error codes.
If you don't have the codes or know how to get to the ECU, click here to go to the initial instructions.

OK...how to use this thing.

Let's say one of the codes you got was 09 08.
Remember, the first two digits represent the number of Long Pulses and the last two are the short pulses.
So on the first entry for long pulses, select 09.
Then on the second entry for short pulses, select 08.
Click on the Diagnose button. It will decode your 0908 code.
In this case, it will say there's a problem associated with your Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor.

Select the number of LONG pulses you saw:

Select the number of SHORT pulses you saw:


NOTES:

If the diagnosis is "Undefined" then the error code you entered does not exist.
Redo the procedure and try counting the pulses again.

Front Left/Right O2 sensor = Left/Right in this case refers to the left/right bank of the engine. The "Left" sensor is the one furthest to the front of the vehicle.
