A funny thing happened on the way to Annapolis

The shot below was taken in Florida. A guy and gal decided to load up on supplies at the local Home Depot before going to Annapolis. Despite the Depot manager's protests, the odd couple persisted so he made them sign a waiver before loading up the car. The police found the Jetta in a parking lot of an IHOP some distance away. The woman is asleep or "otherwise out" in the passenger side. The man was running up and down the street in the background. Witnesses described the guy and gal as having a mental state "other than normal."

What's that in the back seat? How about 10 bags of concrete each weighing 80 pounds! All told, the police estimate a total load of 3000 lbs. The tires were trashed. The crushed muffler still managed to puff out the exhaust (as seen by the smoke). The struts? They ripped right through the chassis! Needless to say, the rear of the car is supported by the floor not the car's suspension.
